Interested in becoming a teacher?

Based within the Outstanding Oasis Academy Limeside, we are a National Teaching School, designated by the DfE. Our aim is to grow the capacity of a school led system - both within Oasis Community Learning and with our local partner school. 

Our Objectives

National Teaching Schools have collective responsibility for a national set of KPIs devised by the Department for Education.

We will support academies to:

• Raise attainment and close the achievement gap
• Share best practice & innovate
• Attract and retain the best staff
• Improve the overall effectiveness of their schools by deepening the impact of school leadership & the strengthening the effectiveness of teaching

We offer bespoke training  for aspiring teachers – helping our trainees to develop the skills and confidence they need to become excellent teachers who create great classrooms for their pupils.

Different Routes Available With Oasis Innovation

We offer two training routes for aspiring teachers. We run a School Direct programme, placing graduates in school as they learn to teach. We also support a more traditional university-based PGCE course.
