Little Wizards (2 year olds)
Hello and welcome to our Little Wizards 2-Year-Old Provision, here at Oasis Limeside we provide care and education for a number of children during a morning session, following their second birthday. We help children develop with their first steps of the education journey and aim to help them create beautiful early school memories.
Key Workers / Named Person
To help us effectively meet their individual care and learning needs, each child is assigned to a named person (key worker) for the whole school year. The named person will work closely with you to identify your child’s next developmental milestones such as potty training or preparing for transition to school. They provide a first point of contact for you and your child and are responsible for maintaining your child’s Learning Journey and keeping his/her assessments up to date. When appropriate, the named person will liaise and work in partnership with other child care services to ensure consistency of care and provision. Information about each child’s named person is displayed on the ‘People who are special to us’ board. Parents will receive a card with contact details and a photograph of their child’s named person.

Team Matters
A well-qualified, enthusiastic and committed team are vitally important in ensuring that children thrive especially in their early years. Our staff are carefully selected for their passion, skills, experiences, and positive attitudes to child care and child development.
At Oasis Academy Limeside all key positions within the 2 year old unit are held by people with recognised Early Years qualifications. Our team is made up of a Unit Manager and 2 further practitioners.
Staffing ratios and staff qualifications exceed the minimum requirement expected by Ofsted. Additionally some practitioners are qualified to Level 5 and above and all our team are encouraged to work towards further qualifications in Early Years Foundation Stage specialisms.
Prior to appointment, all staff are subject to enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance and a minimum of two suitable references confirming good character and relevant work experience.
We ensure that the required adult to child ratios are adhered to at all times. By exceeding the legal requirements in our staffing structure, we aim to enhance the provision we are able to offer to children and families.

*Nappies are changed as and when required, although all nappies will be changed at the stated time. Children who are able to use the toilet have constant access to their bathroom.
