Social Stories

Social stories use photographs and descriptive words to guide children through real-life situations. Social stories are stories written with the specific purpose of teaching a child or children specific behaviour patterns. They are often written when a child is struggling with a behaviour or event.

As a school we use social stories with children regularly, so they will be very used to seeing and hearing stories similar to these. If you think it would be useful, please share these with your children to help start a conversation around specific topics.
