6Nova visit IWMN! 🪖

What a brilliant day we have had at the IWMN today with our friends from Oasis Clarksfield!

My particular highlight was meeting Norma, an 89 year old lady who was an evacuee during WW2.
She was a pleasure to talk to, hearing her stories about the countryside and even finding a live grenade after the war which she delivered to the police station!

We were blown away by the care and compassion shown by our year 6s, who asked how she was, listened carefully as she told us about her late family, and even offered her a hug ❤️

Our knowledge shone through as we explored the exhibits, and took part in our Ministry of Memory workshop 👏🏼
