Viking Shield Art Project 🛡️
Year 5 are embarking on a sculptural project this half term, delving into the world of paper mache techniques.
Last week, students began crafting Viking shields with cardboard and masking tape after creating their vision through sketching their shield designs ✍️✂️
We have then used the technique of paper mache to make our shield sturdier. The children have now painted their shields using textured paint by adding flour and soil to make them look more realistic.
