Year 3 trip to the Museum of Science and Industry

Year 3 trip to the Museum of Science and Industry

We saw lots of vehicles from the past, linking into our topic work, before visiting the weavers workshop. We learned how Manchester and Oldham were the leaders in the cotton industry in the 1800’s, and leaders in transport innovation, building steam engines and railways to link Manchester to Liverpool. Parts of the track still exist, along with the oldest railway station and railway warehouse in the world. We had a great time bringing history to life.
